Road Relays continue to boom in Meath

The continuing popularity and success of the Meath Road Relays was once again proven by a turnout of 27 teams for the 2013 edition. The race which consists of a medley of 1/2 mile, 1 mile, 1 1/2 mile and 2 mile legs was organised by Bohermeen AC along the fast and flat New Line Road.

In the mens race Star of the Sea put in a storming gun to tape effort to finish first in a time of 28.51 ahead of the Dunshaughlin A team second, 25.09, and Bohermeen A,25.15.
The womens race went to the Dunboyne A team in 28.51. Three of this team ran very well in the masters grade at the national relays last Sunday in Raheny. Second spot went to Na Fianna,29.32 and third place team was Dunshaughlin A in 30.15.

Full results to follow.
